Baking Angels: Join us as we bake goodies for Deborah's Palm. Learn our infamous scone recipe that has delighted our clientele since opening! First and Third Wednesdays of the month (February 1 & 15), at 10 a.m.

Book Club :  The book this month is: "The Room" by Emma Donoghue. The group will meet on Tuesday evening at 5 p.m., February 28, 2012.

Brown Bag Speakers: As part of our LunchTime MeetUp program, we feature speakers for FREE on the third and fourth Wednesdays of each month! On Wednesday, February 15 at Noon, Patricia Fuqua will be talking about dating in her fun presentation entitled: "Tired of Kissing Frogs or Acting Like One?"  Wednesday, February 22 at Noon, we will host Silvia Johnson, as she begins a three-part series called "Feminine Leadership: Providing Balance for Women Leaders." On February 22, in Part One, Silvia will be talking about Femininity and Leadership, and will offer practical strategies to become more effective as women.

Gardening: Join Katie each week, Fridays at Noon, to care for the garden at Deborah's Palm. It's time put in the bulbs! Please join us! Questions? 650/473-0664.

Knitting Group: Join Debby Damm each Wednesday at 10 to Noon, to knit and chat and share ideas. All levels of knitters are welcome!

LunchTime MeetUps:  This is a FREE activity each and offererd every Wednesday at NOON-- perfect for the working woman downtown & everyone else! The first Wednesday, we will have Beth Marer-Garcia, our masseuse, offer you a personalized mini-massage for you to relax and unwind. The second Wednesday, we will have a Women's Salon: discussion about your choice of topics. Third Wednesday: A Speaker (see above) and Fourth Wednesday, A Speaker (see above)  will offer topics relevant to women and transitons that they face.

Mentoring Support -  Led by Nina Homnack. We are slowly gathering both mentors and mentees, and making appropriate matches. Movie Night: fun monthly activity, where we will watch our favorite movies together. Bring your own popcorn and drinks!! We will have a double feature this month! Friday, February 17, at 3:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. At 3:00 p.m., will see: "Midnight in Paris", and at 7:00 p.m. we will view "Annie Hall."  Please come!

Poetry Lover's Group: Join Jane Benson on Friday, February 10, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.. See you then!

Community Service
Deborah’s Palm also wants to be a presence in our community and would love to return care and concern to those around us. A variety of community service opportunities will be offered, that include assistance to both local and global organizations.

**NEW** Introducing "Spark Groups" Awareness Events

The last Spark Group was held on Friday evening, January 27, 2012, and looked at the issue of child slavery and trafficking in cocoa farms, and we saw the movie: "The Dark Side of Chocolate." If you were unable to join us, we have the resources from the evening, in our resources area at Deborah's Palm.  For more information, please call Deborah's Palm at 650/473-0664.
